Two more questions this week about day care and preschools. Who knows the answer?
So, I was wondering....I recently enrolled my 4 yr old daughter and 3mo old son in the Wee Care pre-school/day care and was wondering if anyone would know how this will affect the deduction on my taxes? Is a foreign daycare even deductable? If so, how would I go about this?
Pondering my refund fate,
Ashley
I am looking for a good place to send my 5 month old daughter for full-time care. Do you think you could give me any suggestions?

Hi Ashley,
I am using the dependent daycare flex spending account through my employer. They honor the foreign daycare receipts with a conversion rate attached. You can get it online for the date of payment and print it out.
My son went to East-West Montessori, just down the street. In Jan/Feb your school will print out a receipt for you and you just bring it with you to the tax people. Of course in case others don’t know you have to be a full time student or employed to get the tax deduction.
Since you pay in dollars and they give a receipt everytime you pay you shouldn’t have any problem with your taxes. Welcome to Wee Care!!!
Hello I am moving to Okinawa next year and am looking at schools for my son. I am wondering if anyone knows about Amicus.

The site has lots of info but I want to know what people on Okinawa are saying? We are also interested in OCSI.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.
