Shanti Sign
If you are making plans to visit Shuri Castle, I recommend a great little Nepalese spot for lunch called Vegi cafe SHANTI. Every dish is vegetarian and full of flavor (even the vegetarian taco rice). All of the spices are purchased directly from Nepal and all of the vegetables are local.
I recommend the Paneer curry. Getting cheese at a reasonable price is such a rare find in Japan, so this dish is a treat.
The curry lunch specials come with rice, salad, plain yogurt, a samosa, and your choice of drink; an assortment of fruit juices, organic coffee, chai, and tea. There is also an option to get a large size, freshly made mango lassi for 50円extra.

Shanti Food
Vegi Cafe Shanti has an English menu and a Japanese menu with pictures. The staff are also helpful and speak English. They can answer any questions you may have about the menu or how the dish is prepared.

Shanti Interior
Directions: Getting to Vegi cafe SHANTI is fairly easy. Head south toward Naha on the 330. Just before the monorail bends at Furu-jima, turn onto the 82 in the direction of Haebaru. You will follow along the path of the monorail. You will see signs for Shuri Station. The cafe is located on the same street as Shuri Station monorail, except instead of following the monorail toward Shuri station, go the opposite direction. The restaurant is located on the 29 also know as Ryutan Dori (toward Shuri Castle). The cafe is right next door to Ganaha Kazuhumi Art gallery and the Shuri Post Office.
