Dos Manos Burrito
My friend and I were talking about food back home and she said she missed her mom’s Mexican cooking so much but she knew a place where the food was pretty close to what she would get back home. This place is called DOS MANOS.

I was very excited to know about a new Mexican place, I love Mexican food and haven’t had much luck finding a place that has more than tacos and taco rice in their menus. So I couldn’t wait to try this place!

We went on a Saturday for lunch, we were not sure abut their hours but lucky us it was open and we were the first ones there!
DOS MANOS is near gate 2, very easy to find and close to base.
On their menu they have all kinds of different dishes, a lot of different Mexican beers and prices are not bad at all and portions are big. They have English and Japanese menus.
We had some green enchiladas (green tomato sauce), pork tamales, a big enchilada with red sauce (tomato sauce) it was all so delicious! We will be back to try some more!
Hours: Open Thursday-Sunday; noon – last order at 9pm (9:30pm on Fri; 5pm on Sat). Closed Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.

I agree, Dos Manos is incredible. We were so surprised to experience authentic tasting mexican food on Okinawa. Excellent! The mystery for us is when it is open. Highly recommended.
Directions please.
If you look at the bottom of the post there is a little map — it says “Dos Manos Map” — if you click that, it will enlarge so you can see just where it is. The map also has a pin dropped at the correct spot. But basically you go down Kadena Gate 2 street and turn left at the Koza intersection. It will then be on your left.
I meant to submit a write up when we first went. REALLY good! Service can be slow with only one waitress and one cook, but well worth the wait!
Just wanted to let you all know….that they are also closed on Mondays!!!
They are closed on FRIDAYS too….
Just went today for lunch and it was fantastic! I did take notice of the hours since the comments and post mention a few different days. CLOSED: MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY.
We went last night and it was pretty good! I wouldn’t recommend the chicken for enchiladas, it’s not like it is back in the states. The pork is really good. My favorite was the tacos. And they had a wide variety of Mexican beers. I will be returning soon!
They now close at 5 on Saturday.
They don’t *open* until 5 on Sunday. These hours make it really hard to even eat here…
We didn’t realize this place was so small so we actually passed it and almost did again a second time. Not sure what was up but the doors were closed and there was a sign saying take out only.
