My friend and I were talking about food back home and she said she missed her mom’s Mexican cooking so much but she knew a place where the food was pretty close to what she would get back home. This place is called DOS MANOS.

I was very excited to know about a new Mexican place, I love Mexican food and haven’t had much luck finding a place that has more than tacos and taco rice in their menus.  So I couldn’t wait to try this place!

We went on a Saturday for lunch, we were not sure abut their hours but lucky us it was open and we were the first ones there!

DOS MANOS is near gate 2, very easy to find and close to base.

On their menu they have all kinds of different dishes, a lot of different Mexican beers and prices are not bad at all and portions are big. They have English and Japanese menus.

We had some green enchiladas (green tomato sauce), pork tamales, a big enchilada with red sauce (tomato sauce) it was all so delicious!  We will be back to try some more!

Hours: Friday-Monday 1200-1700.  Closed Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday.

Phone:  098-989-8815

Parking:  There is a parking lot right across from the restaurant. , but you may not turn RIGHT into that parking lot.

  1. Nom nom nom! Love at first bite. Tried the enchiladas verde combo and the chicken burrito combo. The beans, rice and nachos that come with are okay but the main entrees are the stars of the show for sure and the hand made tortillas. I’m from Cali so I’ve tried Mexican food anywhere I can on this island as I miss it desperately and don’t always want to make my own. This and guacamole truck are the only things that come close to home.

As of today it’s about 1300 yen per combo plate and drinks are 400yen or so. They have a Facebook page if you need to know hours… And make sure you grab a tip from the parking machine before you venture across the street. Also…. Snag some yummy cinnamon tortilla chips on your way out.

“I have a quick question for you. Are they open as of today, 16 September??”

“Actually, I went there today. It was really AWESOME!!”

  4. Tips!

The hours are changing again as of September 2013 they will be open Friday-Monday 1200-1700.

The parking-lot is across the street, but turning RIGHT into that parking lot is illegal. I recently got a $70 ticket! Luckily the food there is good enough to almost be worth it!

The Cook lived in Mexico for a while, which explains why the food is so good, and the waitress is his wife. They’re super nice and will give you a parking card that gives you 100 yen off of your parking across the street.

  5. We went last night and it was pretty good! I wouldn’t recommend the chicken for enchiladas, it’s not like it is back in the states. The pork is really good. My favorite was the tacos. And they had a wide variety of Mexican beers. I will be returning soon!

    • If you look at the bottom of the post there is a little map — it says “Dos Manos Map” — if you click that, it will enlarge so you can see just where it is. The map also has a pin dropped at the correct spot. But basically you go down Kadena Gate 2 street and turn left at the Koza intersection. It will then be on your left.
