Dress Diner l Okinawa Hai

The Dress Diner is a beautiful, glass-walled restaurant (located on the first floor of the Dai Ichi Hotel) with breathtaking views of Comprehensive Park and the vast sea below. During the day it provides wonderful scenery, and at night the cityscape is unmistakable. I have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed! The food selection is amazing, and although it is a buffet, it doesn’t have that mass-produced buffet feel that you get at buffets in the U.S. Many of the staff are Japanese-speaking, but there are also quite a few who have great English-speaking abilities, so a language barrier doesn’t have to be a concern.

Dress Diner l Okinawa HaiFor lunch you will pay 1250 yen. For that price you get a huge selection of both hot and cold choices as well as some beautiful desserts. There are soda machines that have various choices, including a bright green colored soda! There is also a fantastic salad bar with ever-changing items to add to spruce up your greens.

For dinner you will pay 3500 yen, and I think it’s worth every penny! You might be thinking, “Yeah right, more than $35 for dinner?!” Trust me, you won’t be disappointed! The dinner buffet, like lunch, is always changing. What doesn’t change are the crab legs and all-you-can-drink Orion and various Japanese liquors. The desserts are way more extensive at dinner, and it even has a soft-serve ice cream machine that serves vanilla, mango sherbet, or a combination of the two.

They even have an amazing little dessert case/bakery where they sell wonderful treats. While everything looks wonderful, they are famous for their cream puffs. I can say firsthand that these are amazing! If you don’t have room after dinner, just take a few home!

Whether you decide to go for lunch or dinner, one thing is certain, you will absolutely leave stuffed!
