Since our first couples massage on our honeymoon two years ago, my husband and I have made any excuse to repeat the experience. As our two year anniversary and a short deployment approached, my husband suggested an early celebration with our favorite relaxing pastime.

After scouring the internet for Okinawan masseuses, I narrowed the choices to a few options without… Secret G Sign ummm, a reputation. Secret Garden Aromatherapy Salon had great reviews and when I called, the owner, Ms. Miyuki, was incredibly accommodating. Not to mention, she spoke terrific English.

We arrived at the salon, which is located near Plaza Housing by the McDonald’s on 330, and followed the hard-to-miss signs to the second level. The entrance is well decorated with flowers and cute sayings. Upon entering the salon, we removed our shoes and were politely greeted and asked to sit on a comfy couch where our consultation began.

Secret G Inside

Ms. Miyuki explained aromatherapy to us, as we are accustomed to Swedish massages. She has diagrams in English and Japanese, explaining the different oils and their uses. Some treat headaches, others sore muscles, and there are even some to promote mental health- sign me up! We settled on an herbal mixture used to promote relaxation and relieve stress.

We were lead to a very clean, professional massage room with great décor and a terrific atmosphere. Even though the salon is in a busy area, the nature recording made for a relaxing experience without background noise. The massage was very relaxing and the ladies adjusted their massage pressure to our preferences. We were sad when the 60 minutes ended. Next time, we will pay for 90!

Deals: The salon offers 25% off during your birthday month and also has a frequent customers card.

Secret G Outside Directions: The website provides great directions and the location pulled up on my iPhone Maps app as well. But from Foster:  Exit either the PX Gate or the American Legion Gate and turn left onto 330.  Drive until you see McDonald’s on your right.  Turn right at the stoplight just BEFORE McD’s.  Secret Garden is the first building on your left.  The salon is located on the second floor.

  1. This place is all about the atmosphere. It was an absolutely wonderful experience. I got a sports massage with a lot of stretching and I felt completely relaxed the entire time. Definitely spot on with the improved mental health. I thought this place would be very expensive based on the quality and attention put into the 60 minutes, but it was very inexpensive and awesome. Relieved to find a place to help me relax.

  2. Hubby & I had our second couples massage tonight at Secret Garden. We got 90 minute this time and it was amazing for both of us. They use hot stones and truly pamper you. Secret Garden is an oasis! Highly recommend!

  3. I went there this weekend and took the hubby for a couples massage! They have a huge menu to pick your aromatherapy oils. You can choose up to three for each massage. I chose one for migraines, infertility, and relaxation. The staff was extremely knowlegeable and helpful. The room was so quiet and relaxing. Plus, we got a membership stamp card to use for next time, between me and my husband’s we filled it up, so we get 25% off our next massage! But since it’s my hubby’s birthday next month, she told us not to use it next time, just come in and either one of us can use his birthday as our discount and to save the card for another time! What a deal! Definitely use them! You will not be let down!

  4. Hubby treated me to an early Mother’s Day surprise by taking me to Secret Garden Aromatherapy Salon. I had no idea he had made us a 2-hour couple’s massage appointment! It was FANTASTIC!!! We loved it! Probably the best Mother’s Day present (and surprise) I have ever received!

  5. Secret Garden is phenomenal! As a DoDDS elementary school teacher, I spend a lot of time on my feet working closely with my students. Considerable stress comes with being responsible for 25 young students and their academic growth. By week’s end I am usually pretty beat. Four years ago I discovered the magic of Secret Garden Aromatherapy Salon and have been going back ever since. Those girls REALLY know how to relieve stress and soothe tired muscles! By the time they are done massaging me, I feel like a different person; like a heavy burden has been lifted off my body! I love Secret Garden!

  6. Love, love, love Secret Garden. The aromatherapy is awesome! Miyuki is really great at suggesting different scents to address what ever is going on with you. We usually do the 90 minutes as well and it is truly therapeutic. I highly recommend. I also think the prices are extremely affordable.

  7. Great write-up Kara! You are spot-on!

Secret Garden is the best aromatherapy massage salon around! My husband and I have been going there almost weekly for about 18 months now. We tried other places, but none compare to Secret Garden. Secret Garden’s masseuses are truly professional, quite knowledgeable, and very kind and attentive! The atmosphere is very inviting and their massages are second-to-none! And Secret Garden’s everyday-prices are quite affordable, less even than other massage places’ sale prices! We simply love it!
