I suspect anyone (ladies) who moves to Okinawa knows about this nail salon. I had heard such great things about the pedicures even seen some of the artwork walking around base. The location is a perfect spot to relax. The view is amazing, who wouldn’t want a spa day looking at the water?
I could not wait to give this place a try. On my first visit, I went with my mother-in-law and WOW! what a treat for my feet. My pedicure was amazing – the foot massage was so relaxing. On my most recent trip, I treated myself to both a pedicure and a manicure. I already knew what to expect from the pedicure but did not realize what a treat the manicure would be. The hand massage was just as amazing as the foot massage. I have NEVER had my hands massaged in a “reflexology” manner before so this has definitely been added to my future appointments.
Honestly, the prices are not any more expensive than back in the states. They do take credit card and Yen. The nail art is just incredible, I am so amazed at the talent and there are an overwhelming amount of designs to choose from. I personally have just closed my eyes and picked one. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. As part of your treatment, you are offered a choice of essential oil to add to your pedicure or manicure along with tea. The Nail Cafe also offers a small variety of other drinks for purchase to include: Hot Tea or Iced Coffee, Orion, Red or White Wine, Coke or 7-up.
The Nail Cafe has 9 pedicure chairs and 9 manicure stations. They have a variety of services to include manicures, acrylic, gel nails, pedicures so I suggest you check out their website (below). I also recommend that you call ahead for an appointment it is difficult to just walk in.
In regards to parking, you can always park along the seawall; however, that proves to be difficult at times. The do have parking located a couple blocks away so check that out.
Ladies, plan a day! Cook is also in a great location to walk around and enjoy lunch after your wonderful services!
